2020 has been a historic and challenging year for our local and wider Victorian communities; and whilst we all adapt and recover from the effects of the global pandemic; families, friends, businesses and community groups have rallied together to provide each other vital care and support more than ever.
With the Victorian state lockdown’s implemented over a six month period, businesses closed, jobs were lost and social isolation was prevalent across households in one form or another. However, this unprecedented separation strengthened connections across households with families connecting through traditional postal mail, digital devices and homemade goods and donations.
Whilst we try and recover during these difficult times, The Salvation Army has been on the frontline providing hope and support to those individuals or families experiencing financial hardship, caused by the economic downturn of Covid-19.
From food hampers containing basic groceries and essential items to wellbeing checks, to financial hardship relief through the Salvos Moneycare service- the Salvation Army are there for anyone who has been affected by the crisis.
Unite with us this Christmas and help us fundraise and support the Ringwood Salvation Army through the below fundraising avenues:
The Salvation Army Donation Store

Whilst 2020 may have prevented some of our traditional fundraising events and celebrations at Eastland this Christmas, that doesn’t mean we can’t find special and unique ways to support our key charity partner, The Salvation Army this year.
We are thrilled to announce we have again partnered with local Maroondah artist, Pigeon Gillian to design and hand create five unique Christmas card designs in a set for sale this season, with all proceeds raised donated to the Ringwood Salvation Army.
In addition to purchasing this exclusive Christmas card set, the recyclable green tote bags that were designed by Pigeon Gillian in 2019 are also available for purchase with proceeds raised also being donated to the Ringwood Salvation Army.
The Salvation Army Brass Band Performances
Join in the festivities this Christmas at Eastland with live brass band performances in Ringwood Town Square with the Ringwood Salvation Army.
Enjoy traditional Christmas music under the summer sky in a beautiful, community atmosphere in the heart of Ringwood. Donations are graciously accepted to assist in the support and contribution to the local and wider Melbourne community this Christmas.
