We are pleased to confirm that we are set to begin works to replace and upgrade the travelators next to Woolworths.
The new travelators will increase the accessibility and convenience of Eastland for our community, providing an upgraded, energy efficient and more reliable access point to the Centre from the Basement North car park.
Works are scheduled to commence on Monday 5 July, and while it is too early to confirm exact timings, we expect to conclude the project by the end of September.
We will be upgrading the travelators one at a time, ensuring that there is always access down to the car park from Level 1 of the Centre, making it easy for customers with trolleys to make their way to their cars. Please note that access up to the Centre from the Basement North car park will be available through the elevators only. Due to COVID-19 capacity restrictions, 2 people are able to use the lift at any one time.
During these works, a small number of parents’ car park spaces in the Basement North car park will also be relocated.
Don’t forget, you can park in the West car park and enjoy direct, same-level access to Woolworths and surrounding stores.
To help our community find their way into the Centre during these works, we will be installing wayfinding signage in the Basement North car park.
Eastland will remain open as usual throughout these works, and we will be working to minimise impacts for our local community as part of our construction management plan.
We thank our community for their patience during these works, and look forward to sharing further updates as we reach key milestones.
