Easing of restrictions in Metropolitan Melbourne and what that means for you.

Following the Victorian Government’s announcement of a three-step plan to recovery, we are busy preparing for Step 3, which comes into effect tomorrow, Wednesday 28 October. The transition to this stage will result in you seeing a few positive changes at Eastland, including the option to:

  • Dine in at selected restaurants and cafés in-Centre
  • Relax and unwind at our range of retailers offering beauty treatments, including but not limited to massage, nail and beauty therapy
  • Take a seat and enjoy a meal in one of our food courts
  • Shop at many of our retail stores.

However, it’s still early in our journey and a number of restrictions, designed to help keep our community safe, remain in place. Please visit our Coronavirus Updates page for more detail on these restrictions, and details on trading retailers.

We recognise that the staged easing of restrictions is a daunting time for many, so I want to reassure our community that helping to protect their health and wellbeing has never been more important to us than right now. Alongside adherence to relevant COVIDSafe Plans, we continue to implement and maintain stringent precautionary measures to keep our entire community safe. Details on the measures we are taking can be found here.

We ask you to continue to play your part to keep our community safe. This means:

  • Planning your trip in advance of your visit to Eastland.
  • Social distancing – always keep at least 1.5 metres between yourself and others.
  • Maintaining personal hygiene – wash your hands regularly and use the sanitiser stations located throughout the Centre for your convenience.
  • Handling illness safely – cough or sneeze into your elbow or a tissue and, most importantly, stay at home if you’re feeling unwell.
  • Wearing a face mask, unless you have a valid reason not to, and follow all government directives and advice.

I also wanted to take a moment to thank all our customers for their ongoing support as we navigate this period of transition to a new normal together. It’s been fantastic to see so many customers adhere to social distancing directives, uphold exemplary hygiene practices and treat each other, and our retail partners, with respect and compassion. I also thank you for your ongoing patience, cooperation and understanding, and we sincerely look forward to seeing you at Eastland soon.
